Fig & Olive Spread that’s Fabulous + Easy
I like easy. In life and in the kitchen. And this recipe can help make both happen.
That’s because this spread is earthy and nourishes your body, it contains olives, a great brain-food, so supports your mind, and it marries sweet and salty to stimulate your senses. Doesn’t life feel better already?
And of course, it’s super easy to make.
Serve with flat bread and feta cheese. Or on cheese sandwiches. Or to experience amazing, try it on roasted chicken or grilled fish!
5 fresh black figs
1 tablespoon capers, rinsed
1 tablespoon kalamata olives, pitted
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
1. Trim the hard end from the figs.
2. Blend everything together in a food processor until smooth.
3. Cover and chill. It’s best used that day but will keep for another day.
Serves: 2-4 (Makes 1 cup)
