Jumpstart Top Performance- Breakfast Made Smooth(y)

What’s the best way to jumpstart top performance?  Eating a breakfast that Feel Vibrant Energy with a Smoothynourishes your body and mind.  (Can you feel our vibrant energy?)

Yet I often hear there just isn’t the time to cook.

Here’s a great solution that’s smooth(y) and easy with most of the ingredients stored in your freezer.  It also provides antioxidants that help prevent the body from developing various types of cancer as well as heart disease.  Plus it is a good source of vitamins and essential nutrients that stress can deprive us of.

Strawberry Banana Supreme Smoothie

One cup of strawberries will give you 12% of your daily dietary fiber, 149% vitamin C, 2% calcium and 3% iron.  All that for just 49 calories.

Bananas are a good source of dietary fiber (at 23% of your daily values), Vitamin C, Potassium, Manganese, and Vitamin B6.

Apple Juice also contains antioxidants plus a variety of essential nutrients and vitamins that may help protect the body from illnesses such as the common cold.

Ingredients

1 cup apple juice
1 cup milk
1 banana*
1 1/2 cups strawberries*
1 cup strawberry yogurt**
1-2 cups ice (depending on desired thickness)

*If use frozen, reduce or eliminate ice cubes
**Plain yogurt with a little natural honey tastes great, too.

Preparation

Pour all liquid ingredients into blender.  Add fruit and ice. Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then blend at SMOOTH setting until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Serves: 3-5
